Chan
The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Raymond Chan got his PhD degree
from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences
in New York University 1985 and is now the Head
of the Mathematics Department at the Chinese
University of Hong Kong. Chan has published 120
journal papers and has been in the ISI Science
Citation List of Top 250 Highly-Cited
Mathematicians in the world since 2004. He was
elected a SIAM Fellow in 2013 and a SIAM Council
Member for 2015-17.

Xiao
Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Dr. Dongmei Xiao is a
Distinguished Professor of Mathematics at
Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received her
Ph.D in Mathematics from Peking University in
1991, did her postdoc in University of
California at Berkeley from 1995-1996.
Her research interests include bifurcation
theory, dynamical systems and mathematical
biology.

Xiong
Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology
Yongliang Xiong received his
Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D degrees at Harbin
Engineering University in 2003, 2006, and 2008
respectively. He worked at INRIA MC2 group as a
Ph.D candidate in Applied Mathematics and as a
Post-Doctor researcher during 2007 and 2013. He
has been appointed as an associate professor at
the department of Mechanics, Huazhong University
of Science and Technology since 2014. His
research interest is Computational Fluid
Dynamics for complex flow.

Zhang
Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing
Ping Zhang got his PhD from
Nanjing University, China, in 1997, and is now
Hua-Luogeng chair professor for pure mathematics
in the Academy of Mathematics and System
Sciences and also Changjiang chair professor in
the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
His main research interest is in mathematical
theory of viscous incompressible fluidsystem.

Zhu
Hong Kong Baptist University
Dr. Lixing Zhu is a Chair
professor of statistics of Department of
Mathematics at Hong Kong Baptist University,
Hong Kong. He was the department head from 2008
to 2014. His research focuses on
high-dimensional data analysis, empirical
process and its applications, Monte Carlo
methods in statistics. Author of more than 250
peer reviewed papers, Dr. Zhu serves on the
editorial boards of 5 academic journals. Other
than several prizes and awards, he won The
State Natural Science award (Class II)
and The Humboldt Research Award of Germany.
Both are the prestigious national and
international award. For the latter, he is the
first winner, from the Mainland, Hong
Kong and Taiwan, in Science, also is still the
only winner from Asia in Statistics. He's a Fellow
of The American Statistical Association,
Institute of Mathematical Statistics
and an elected member of International
Statistical Institute.

Fundan University
His research lies in control of
partial differential equations and the
applications. He mainly works on controllability
and stabilization of hyperbolic equations,
including wave equations and concervation laws.
Recently, he has studied control of models
describing highly re-entrant manufacturing
system and models on extrusion process.
